One of my friends from work makes these amazing dolls out of leaves that are used for tamales. It's a Mexican Art Craft. I would like to say that it's remarkable and BEAUTIFUL! There is soooo much detail that goes into it and the painting is flawless! I LOVE IT! The doll in the picture is the first one she made. She is wearing regional folkloric clothing from the state of Yucatan in Mexico. That's where my father's family is from! My grandmother wore embroidered dresses everyday! :) This doll is a sweet reminder of her. So, it's in my office and when I look at it, it makes me smile.

i'll have to show it to you in person. you wouldn't be able to tell it was made of tamales leaves. it's awesome! :)
